People frequently screw up names in the same ways.
Mac often becomes “MAC”. I don’t know why. Names of other computer-related products aren’t usually accidentally capitalized. Nobody says ITUNES or EXCEL.

I think a lot of people think “Mac” is an acronym (or they confuse it with the cosmetics company). As for iTouch, the difference between that and “iVideo” and “iNano” is the verb “touch”. All that being said, I hate both of those mistakes with a passion rivaled only by my hatred for “irregardless”.
